Sara King - Owner

Certified: Pilates, Gyrotonic®, Barre, Aerial Pilates

Sara believes that movement heals and feeds our body, mind and soul. Her passion for Pilates is reinforced daily as she witnesses the transformative powers of the method.

With 20+ years of Pilates teaching experience, Sara works with clients to not only increase their fitness level, but to increase quality of life and break free from chronic pain.

What she loves most about Pilates is that it’s a very smart approach to movement, you must be present and in the moment during the exercises, there is no room for outside distractions.

That kind of focus is a great gift to ourselves. When not at the studio, Sara loves to check out new restaurants around town, is trying her hand at fly fishing and is a mom to two awesome kids and a Great Dane.

Alexandra Hennekens

Certifications: Pilates, Therapeutic Massage

Alexandra discovered a love for Pilates while studying dance in college. Though it wasn't until she got on a Reformer that she wanted to dive deeper into the work. Alexandra connects with the mindfulness that comes from working in a controlled and efficient manner, and she tries to bring that feeling to all of her classes.

Alexandra's Pilates and massage practices both focus on women's health and fitness. She has the following special training, Advanced Certification Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum Massage, Pre/Postnatal Pilates Specialist, Pilates for Menopause, Post-Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist, Diastasis Recti Recovery, and Craniosacral Therapy.

When she's not in the studio, Alexandra is likely out exploring St. Paul with her husband, daughter, and dog. They also love spending time at home in the kitchen, garden or patio.

Gwen hEAD

Certified: Pilates

A self-proclaimed Pilates nerd, Gwen started practicing Pilates in the late 90’s by doing Mat exercises she saw in a women’s health magazine.

The difference she saw in her core strength and stamina encouraged her to take classes at local studios and eventually pursue Pilates as a career.

“Pilates helps me appreciate my body and how strong I can be when I participate in structured workouts. I love that Pilates can be tailored to be inclusive for everyone. I enjoy that there is always more to learn as a student and a teacher. No matter what level you are, there is always a new challenge that awaits”.

So many areas of Gwen’s life benefit from her Pilates practice and she enjoys having conversations with others who feel the same. Outside of the Pilates studio, Gwen has a 20+ year career in Human Resources. In her free time, she likes to dance, travel and attend concerts.

Paige Wingate

Certified: Pilates

Paige took her first Pilates by accident; she thought she had signed up for a yoga class and was surprised to discover her mistake when she arrived at the gym. This turned out to be one of her favorite mistakes, as something shifted during that first class. She left feeling strong, connected, and curious about the Pilates method. Paige continued taking classes and completed her comprehensive training in 2019.

Over time, her Pilates practice has taught her how to move mindfully, build sustainable strength and mobility, and honor her body’s needs. She believes movement should be fun and playful and aims to balance creativity with classical sequencing. In addition to Pilates, is also a certified yoga instructor.

Paige lives in Northeast Minneapolis with her husband and two dogs. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys camping, paddle boarding, and watching crime dramas
