Gyrotonic® is a training method based in principles of yoga, dance, tai chi and swimming. Unlike yoga (and most workouts), there’s an emphasis on rotation and spiraling movement that doesn’t have an end point. At Longevity Pilates, we teach Private Gyrotonic® Sessions using the beautiful piece of equipment called the Gyrotonic® Pulley Tower. You use handles and pulleys to enable sweeping, arcing movements, and there’s a uidquality that goes hand in hand with your breathing. At the end of your Gyrotonic® session, you will feel every part of your body has been moved stretched and strengthened, your posture has been elongated and opened and you’ll feel as if you’ve had a massage. People often say, “I didn’t even know I had muscles there!”
Gyrotonic® Instruction
During these private, 50 minute sessions, we will continue to develop your Gyrotonic® Practice utilizing the Gyrotonic Expansion Tower in the studio (and at home if you like homework!) with 2-3 monthly sessions to support your goals!
